Every year, November and December bring around a "slow time" for us here at WASA, and offer us an opportunity to look back at everything that filled the past year! It was, as always, an incredible year... a year that began with nearly 60 teams taking to the winter dodgeball courts, and a year that ended with a brand new team winning their first Golden Keg kickball championship! In between, there were lots of milestones that all of us can look back on and be proud of... organizers and participants alike....
- 4th Consecutive Sold Out Pepsi Center Dodgeball Showdown event with the Colorado Mammoth, with 200+ people taking to the floor of the Pepsi Center for dodgeball!
- 70 teams and nearly 1100 participants across 6 divisions and 5 locations for our spring co-ed kickball league!
- 16 teams and 250 participants for our second annual WASApalooza event at Sports Authority Field at Mile High with the Denver Outlaws.
- 75 teams, 1200 participants, and an event record $98,000 raised at our annual Make-A-Wish Kickball tournament, still the largest adult kickball tournament in the state of Colorado!
- A Turkey Bowl record 15 catches for 194 yards and 4 TD's for Nate Baldwin at the 2011 Turkey Bowl Touch Football game at City Park....
OK... that last thing hasn't actually happened yet, but book it... it's as good as done!
We don't accomplish any of these things in a given year without the incredible support and loyalty you all show to WASA, and we can't tell you enough how much we value your participation, your excitement, your feedback, and your continued effort to spread the word and get more people involved! We're looking forward to more fun and great activities and events in 2012, and look forward to having you all along with us for the ride...

WASA Dodgeball stormed the national scene on Tuesday, March 17 as one of the featured activities on the Discovery Channel show "Wreckreation Nation with Dave Mordal"! We were THRILLED with the segment, and want to thank everyone who participated in the filming for their hard work, their flexibility and their energy and excitement for WASA Dodgeball! What a LONG way we have come since that little 4 team kickball league back in 2003! It's hard to believe sometimes! And we owe it ALL to all of you... the loyal WASA participants! Thank you for making WASA the best co-ed sports organization in Denver... we ALL share in the success!
