Spring is in the Air!
Well, ole Phil the groundhog saw his shadow, which means another 6 weeks of winter, but here at WASA HQ, we know that now is the time to start getting ready for spring! And BOY do we have a GREAT spring line up for all of you! Spring is traditionally the biggest season on the WASA calendar, with the return of WASA Spring Kickball, and of course our annual Dodgeball Showdown at the Pepsi Center! This year, we are once again rapidly approaching a sell out for our Pepsi Center event on March 13, and we're looking forward breaking the 100 team barrier for the first time EVER with our spring kickball league! Truly a significant accomplishment, with special thanks to all of you who have been spreading the word!
In addition to kickball, we're also thrilled for the spring return of our co-ed Ultimate Frisbee league, and the expansion of our highly successful Flag Football league! Together with the addition of a new location option in Highlands Ranch, it is shaping up to be an epic spring of 2010!
What makes each of these leagues successful is the personality and commitment of the participants who play... which is all of you. So, whether you're looking for the simple fun of a WASA kickball game, the strategy and exercise of a WASA Flag Football game or Ultimate Frisbee match, or the pure adrenaline rush of flingin' balls at each other at the Pepsi Center Dodgeball Showdown, the most important thing is to get out there and participate! We've done our best to put together a great lineup for you all, with location options that we hope will give everyone an opportunity to play, meet some great people, and come out and have a great time with us this spring!

Wreckreation Nation, Featuring WASA Dodgeball, aired Tuesday, March 17, 2009 on the Discovery Channel!
WASA Dodgeball stormed the national scene on Tuesday, March 17 as one of the featured activities on the Discovery Channel show "Wreckreation Nation with Dave Mordal"! We were THRILLED with the segment, and want to thank everyone who participated in the filming for their hard work, their flexibility and their energy and excitement for WASA Dodgeball! What a LONG way we have come since that little 4 team kickball league back in 2003! It's hard to believe sometimes! And we owe it ALL to all of you... the loyal WASA participants! Thank you for making WASA the best co-ed sports organization in Denver... we ALL share in the success!
